Awnings are flexible shade providers for gardens, balconies and patios. The colourful sun canopies are available in various colours, shapes and sizes. The dense HPDE textile fabric is UV-resistant and also reliably keeps out the rain. As a general rule, the thicker the fabric, the better the sun canopy protects against the weather.

Which Awning is Ideal for Your Outdoor Area?

We offer awnings with 185 g/m2, which provide 90% protection against UV radiation and water. Unlike parasols, they are more flexible to use and can also be taken to festivals or scout camps. When choosing the colour of your new sunshade, your personal taste is of course a key selection criterion.

There are also other considerations: How much light do you want under the sun canopy? Light-coloured awnings made of white, beige or light grey material let in significantly more light than dark-coloured awnings. Dirt and pollen are less visible on the dark colours. The size and shape of the sunshade depend on the fastening options. The awning should be approx. 70 cm smaller on each side than the distance between the attachment points.

Care and Attachment of Your Awning

Awnings are extremely easy to care for. Dirt and pollen are usually washed away by the occasional rain shower. If it is very dirty, you can also wash the sun canopy in the washing machine at 40 °C. However, in strong winds and during the cold winter months, it is advisable to remove the sun canopy and store it in a dry place. In summer, awnings fit perfectly in the garden box.

Attaching the awning is also child's play. Our awnings have eyelets at each corner to which you can attach a rope. Nylon tensioning ropes are included in the scope of delivery. It is best to use the separately available fastening hooks to attach the sun sail to the house wall. The fastening set includes tensioning screws, carabiners and hooks with which you can securely fasten the sun canopy. A little tip: Attach the sun awning on the balcony and patio at a slight angle so that rainwater can run off and no water pockets form.
