The Gas Barbecue: The Clean Alternative to Charcoal
If you find working with charcoal too dirty, but don't like running your own barbecue with electricity either, a gas barbecue is just the right garden barbecue for you. The advantages are obvious: they are wonderfully easy to clean, produce little smoke and odour, are usually mobile and portable and can be combined to last as long as you like, achieving a flavour that comes close to that of a charcoal barbecue.

General Tips for the Gas Barbecue
Always read the instructions carefully and follow all safety instructions that you find. It is also advisable to regularly check the hoses for cracks, holes or porous material. The rule of thumb here is that you should replace the hoses after 3 to 5 years. Other barbecue components should also be checked regularly and replaced if necessary. Also make sure that the gas hoses are not exposed to excessive heat - if this is not feasible, a metal "protective wall" often helps. In addition, you should not store any flammable liquids near the barbecue and keep hot grease and other hot liquids away from the barbecue, especially the hoses.
You should also clean your gas barbecue and barbecue utensils regularly. Use a barbecue brush, gloves and special cleaning sprays. When cleaning the inside of the barbecue, you must first remove the gas cylinder. Then use the brush to remove any dried-on food residue from the grill. The best way to scrape off grease and dirt is with a spatula. Also clean the grill chamber, the drip tray and the grease drip tray. Before you reassemble the barbecue, it is important that all parts are completely dry.
